International Air Transport Association (IATA) designations will be used to calculate weight. If the volume weight of the shipment exceeds the actual weight, shipping charges will be calculated based on volume weight using the conversion 5,000 cubic centimeters = 1.0 kilograms.

Increased FedEx compensation amounts

FedEx allows you to increase their maximum liability up to the declared amount of a shipment as compensation for loss, damage, or delays by paying JPY 170 for every JPY12,500 in declared value.

Customers in the US and Canada can add a delivery signature option to their order for an additional JPY 540.
