When his first photo book, "Yu Yuteng 1st Photo Book: Half," was released by Taiwan's Kadokawa in April 2021, orders flooded in from all over the world. Now, KADOKAWA has announced that the long-awaited Japanese version, "Half YU 1st Photo Book," will be released on Wednesday, December 22nd!
The title of the photobook, "Half," embodies YU's wish that people will get to know the many different sides of himself, such as "himself as a singer" and "himself as an actor," "his innocent side" and "his cool, dark side," "Japan" and "Taiwan." As the title suggests, the book is chock-full of YU's various charms, which are different from those seen in the drama, including photos of him on stage, in a tuxedo, in a kimono, and with a cat.
The Japanese version not only has the entire text translated into Japanese, but also uses a different cover than the Taiwanese version, and the photos on the front and inside pages have been updated to include many previously unpublished photos.
In addition, the end of the book contains a special long interview exclusive to the Japanese edition, which delves deeper into YU's inner self, including behind-the-scenes stories from the drama "We Best Love," the roots of his music career, and his childhood in Japan.
It also comes with a video message in Japanese that can only be viewed by purchasers, making it a packed book!
