SEKAI NO OWARI member Fukase's long-awaited first solo album. Released by the prestigious hip-hop label Def Jam Recordings.
Circusm (pronounced "sa-ka-zumu") is a coined word made by combining circus (circus) with sarcasm (irony). It is an album that expresses personal stories, modern society, and the duality and diversity of the media. It expresses the contradictory situation of living in a world where things are constantly being infused and imposed upon us by the media, while at the same time being aware of and questioning them. In the midst of this confusion, memories of friends, family, and personal life suddenly come to mind. This album captures such moments and records them like fragments of emotion" (Fukase).
Most of the tracks were produced by Fukase, but "Jpop" was produced by Jeff Bass and Jake Bass, who worked with EMINEM in his early days, and "Bullying Lovers" was produced by Shintaro Yasuda, who has worked with Ariana Grande and XG, among others.
