【Synopsis】
In the spring of Showa 11. Natsumi Sekiya (Kyoko Yoshine) is told by her father, Atsuzo (Tsutomu Takahashi), to marry her. Moreover, the wedding is one week later ... Natsumi is bewildered by the suddenness.
And on the day of the wedding, the groom, Takimasa Ebata (Kyoya Honda), a lieutenant in the Imperial Navy, was unable to attend the ceremony due to urgent training, and there was only a "photo" of Takimasa next to Natsumi in the bride's form. Starting with Natsumi's mother, Satsuki (Mahiru Konno), the members of the Sekiya family are just overwhelmed. Natsumi was allowed to stay at the house of Takimasa's superior officer, who was a matchmaker, and waited for Takimasa's return with his superior's wife, Ikuko Shibahara (Emi Wakui).
Two weeks later, Takimasa returned home, and it was finally time to meet face-to-face. Natsumi is nervous, and Takimasa comes to her. Natsumi, who has not had many opportunities to talk to men so far, does not know what to talk about. After the greeting, there is an awkward silence in the room. Natsumi tries her best to talk, but her conversation with the expressionless and taciturn Takimasa is quickly interrupted. At that moment, Takisho suddenly stands up. Natsumi hurriedly chases after him. Takimasa walks into the Shibahara family and looks around the room. In the last bedroom he enters, Natsumi mutters, "There's a mirror stand," and Takimasa says, "I'll do it here," and goes somewhere.
Natsumi, who was left alone in the bedroom, is fidgeting when Takisho returns. In his hands he was holding a kettle and cooking utensils. In addition, there are a lot of dishes at the entrance. Takimasa had borrowed it from the main house. Natsumi is upset when she makes Takisho prepare the kitchen. He hurriedly tries to hold the dishes, but the wobbly dishes are about to fall. At that moment, Takimasa pulled the tableware ... For a moment, their hands touch. Natsumi blushing and looking down. Takimasa stares at his own hand and is confused by Natsumi's reaction. A naïve and clumsy new couple begins their newlywed life that is too naïve.
