[Synopsis]
In the spring of Showa 11. Natsumi Sekiya (Kyoko Yoshine) is told to marry by her father, Atsuzo (Tsutomu Takahashi). Moreover, the wedding is a week later... Natsumi is frightened by the suddenness.
And on the day of the ceremony, the groom, Takimasa Ebata (Kyoya Honda), a lieutenant in the Imperial Navy, was unable to attend the ceremony due to urgent training, and there was only a 'photo' of Takisho next to Natsumi in her bride's attire. Starting with Natsumi's mother, Satsuki (Mahiru Konno), the Sekiya family is just amazed. Natsumi was allowed to stay at the house of her superior, the matchmaker, Takisho, and waited for Takisho's return with her superior's wife, Ikuko Shibahara (Eimi Wakui).
Two weeks later, Takisho returned home and it was finally time to meet face to face. Takisho comes to Natsumi, who is nervous. Natsumi, who had rarely had the opportunity to talk to men until now, didn't know what to say. When the greeting is over, there is an awkward silence in the room... Natsumi tries her best to talk, but the conversation with Takisho, who is expressionless and taciturn, is quickly cut off. At that moment, Takisho suddenly stood up. Natsumi hurriedly chases after her. Takisho enters the Shibahara family and looks around the room. In the last bedroom he entered, when Natsumi muttered, "There is a mirror stand," Takisho said, "I'll do it here," and went somewhere.
When Natsumi, who was left alone in the bedroom, was fidgeting, Takisho returned. He was holding a pot and cooking utensils in his hand. In addition, there are many tableware at the entrance. Takisho borrowed it from the main house. Natsumi makes Takisho prepare the kitchen and is upset. He hurriedly tries to grab the dishes, but the wobbly dishes are about to fall. At that moment, Takisho pulls the tableware over... For a moment, their hands touched each other. Natsumi blushes and bows down. Takisho stares at his hand and is confused by Natsumi's reaction. The naïve and clumsy newlywed couple's newlywed life begins.
