[Story]
'Kingdom'
In 245 BC, during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, Qin was a western country in China. War orphan boys Shin and Hyo dream of becoming great generals of the land one day and train daily in swordsmanship. One day, Hyō is summoned by Lord Shōbun, a minister in the royal capital, and brought to the royal palace. Shin and Hyo ...... to take different paths. A coup d'état erupts in the royal palace led by the king's younger brother, Seikyo. During the battle, Hyo is mortally wounded but manages to reach the barn where Shin is. "Go there right now..." Entrusting the map he had gripped with bloodied hands to Shin, Hiyo breathed his last. Shin ran off with the sword and map that Pyō was carrying. When Shin arrives at the hut marked by the map, what catches his eye is the quietly standing Kyo!? Why is Drifter, who was supposed to be dead?
'Kingdom II: To the Distant Land'
The time is before the Common Era. During the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, Qin was the western state of China. Raised as a war orphan, Shin meets the young king Ying Zheng, who was ousted from the throne by a coup led by his younger brother. He became the great general of the realm, vowing to be together, but lending his strength to the two kings of his childhood friend, Pyo and Touri, who had lost him, and infiltrated the royal palace together with Karyoten and Yang Duanwa, the mountain king. Shin defeats the formidable enemies who stand in his way and brilliantly suppresses the civil war. They succeeded in reclaiming the throne. However, this was only the beginning of an incredible battle.
Six months later, news suddenly arrives at the royal palace. The neighboring state of Wei crossed the border and began its invasion. Under the command of King Ying Zheng, Qin raised an army at the decisive battleground of the Shegan Plain to attack Wei. Heading into battle as an infantryman, Shin reunites with fellow townsmen Bihei and Bitou along the way. With no record of battle, Shin ends up forming the weakest five-man group with the remaining unreliable corporal Takukei, the remaining unreliable corporal, and a man named Kyokai, who has a childlike appearance and sad eyes. The supreme general of Wei was General Wu Qing, a military genius rumored to rival the six great generals of Qin, renowned for his military strategy. On the other hand, Qin's supreme commander is General Hyōkō, a bold and charging general who spends his days in war and wine. By the time Shin and his group reached the battlefield, the hill considered advantageous had been occupied by the Wei army, and in some units, more than half their infantry had already been killed, making the situation dire. Although the Qin army was completely behind, Bakukoshin, who commanded the unit to which Xin was assigned, issued a reckless order to charge—
'Kingdom: Flames of Destiny'
For 500 years, seven states continued to compete during China's Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods. Raised as a war orphan, Shin meets Ying Zheng, the king of Qin, who looks exactly like his late best friend. Guided by fate, Shin sets out to unify China alongside the young king, and together with his comrades, he presses forward toward his dream of becoming the greatest general of the realm. After winning the battle against the Wei Kingdom ('Kingdom 2: To the Distant Land'), even more threats strike them! The large army of the neighboring state Zhao, harboring long-standing grudges against Qin, suddenly invaded toward Qin's capital. To counter the vengeful strongest generals, Ying Zheng appoints the legendary general Wang Qi, who had long been away from battle, as the commander-in-chief. Before the sortie, Ying Zheng was asked by Wang Qi about his resolve for battle, and what he revealed was his memory of his benefactor, Shika, who had once brought light to him during the deep darkness as a hostage in Zhao.
Shin learns of Ying Zheng's resolve to unify China. After his first battle, Shin grows into a captain leading 100 soldiers, and is given the name 'Hishin Squad' by Ohki, tasked with a special mission as a detachment to defeat enemy commanders. Can Shin and his companions, who take on a mission that cannot be lost, save the Qin state from the brink of destruction? And the unknown past of the Royal Knight intertwines, and fate takes an unexpected turn... The greatest decisive battle in 'Kingdom' history begins!
'Kingdom: The Return of the Great General'
During the Battle of Mayang, where Qin and Zhao risked everything< > the battle of Mayang, Pang Xuan, the supreme commander of Zhao, suddenly appeared before Xin and his comrades, who had been hiding their presence. The members of the Fei Shin Squad lose their lives one after another before the overwhelming power of Pang Nuan, who calls himself the <Martial God> Carrying the fatally wounded Shin on their backs, the Hishin Squad attempts a desperate escape. "We're going to protect Shin all the way together—"
Meanwhile, Wang Qi, who had been watching the battle, sensed another monster lurking behind the Zhao army, but to turn the tide, he returned to the battlefield as the strongest general. What is the past karmic connection between Wang Qi and Pang Juan? What is the true identity of the strategist Riboku, who quietly watches the battle from afar??
Now, an unforgettable battle begins in the land of Mayang, where fate is tangled with grudges—
