【story】
In the era of the Taira clan, Hojo Yoshitoki was just the second son of a small and weak family in Izu. However, with the marriage of exiled Minamoto no Yoritomo and his older sister Masako, the gears of destiny begin to turn.
In 1180, Yoritomo gathered the Kanto samurai and rebelled against the Taira clan. The Hojo clan took on this reckless gambling. Yoshitoki, who became Yoritomo's first aide, engaged in desperate political maneuvering and finally defeated the Taira clan.
Yoritomo opened the shogunate and became a shogun. But at the climax, he died a mysterious death. The second shogun, Yoriie, struggles to surpass his great father. Sanetomo, the third shogun who tries to keep his life by devoting himself to "decoration". The shogun's head is changed in a power game between Yoshitoki and his vassals.
As the uncle of the two shoguns, Yoshitoki steers the Shogunate with all his might. The Hojo clan was at the top of the shogunate when Genji's legitimacy ceased. In the capital, the Retired Emperor Gotoba raises an army to subjugate Yoshitoki. Risking the fate of the samurai government, Yoshitoki challenged the final battle.
