The Japanese sexy soul duo "Takeda to Tetsuya," consisting of TAKE from Skoop On Somebody and Murakami Tetsuya from the Gospellers, will celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2026, and will release their third mini-album "LOVE SHOT" on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, through SOUL WAVE, a private label launched in 2021!
The lead track, "LOVE SHOT (deuce)," features lyrics that liken the struggle to win a woman's heart to a tennis match, and a striking sound that evokes the uplifting feeling of watching a see-saw game. The opening track, "TWILIGHT," was written by Skoop On Somebody's KO-HEY and arranged by SWING-O, creating a track created in collaboration with fellow "Takeda to Tetsuya." The album also includes "1 am" and "Sick Of This Love," written, composed, and arranged by the mysterious three-piece R&B chorus group Meteor, which is gaining attention from discerning R&B listeners and industry insiders. The album also includes a medley of previously performed covers of soul classics "BETWEEN THE SHEETS" (The Isley Brothers) and "COME AND TALK TO ME" (Jodeci). The Blu-ray included with the first limited edition will include footage from "SOUL POWER presents 'Silk-Looking Night Part 7'" held in 2021.
