Skoop On Somebody will be releasing their first original album in about six years.
The album title is "State Of Soul," which is also the name of FAN CLUB.
The album also expresses their gratitude to the fans who have walked with them for the past 20 years since their debut, and their desire to once again express the music they want to make that is true to their soul.
The album is comprised of songs with a BPM of under 100, and is the latest sound of future soul, which is said to be the next wave after neo-soul.
The sound was produced by Ryosuke "Dr.R" Sakai, who is also active overseas.
The song has a strong popularity based on melody, but also has a heavy sound.
The mastering engineer is David Kutch, who has also worked with many international artists including Alicia Keys, Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, and John Legend.
The third track on the album, "Killin' Me," was written by Toshinobu Kubota, following "Every Kiss, Every Lies."
It is a medium ballad that is bursting with Kubota's unique style.
The sixth track is a new mix of SOS's signature song "sha la la."
The 15th track on the album is "Wings." The lyrics of this song have been changing daily since the 20th anniversary LIVE Vol.1 Shibuya 7-day live concert held in February this year, and it is a song that fans have been waiting for.
This is Skoop On Somebody, the most aggressive and best work in 20 years.
