Set in Gifu and Tokyo, the story of a heroine who is a little lonely but not afraid of failure, runs from the end of the high-growth period to the present day with seven falls and eight rises.

[Synopsis (from the 17th week)]
Shohei (Takumi Saitoh), who was able to shoot a new movie with the money Ryoji (Shotaro Mamiya) had made, was trying to help Ryoji become independent as a film director.
On the other hand, Suzume (Mei Nagano), who was told by Mitsue (Midoriko Kimura) that she wanted to entrust her with Dainagon, talks about her thoughts in front of Mitsue, Mugi (Yumi Asou), and Meari (Risa Sudo).
Two years later. Ryoji finally writes a script based on one original book. Bringing it to Shohei, Shohei begins to seek the permission of the original author to make it into a movie.
However, the original author instructed Shohei to direct the movie. Ryoji gives up because he has no track record, but Suzu Ai, who has been watching her husband's efforts up close, is not convinced.
Shohei, who visited the Fujimura family to apologize for being frustrated by his conscience, declared that he would step down from the director.
Ryoji gives an unexpected word to Shohei, and Suzu Ai who hears the exchange sheds tears.
