The cover of the September 27th expanded issue of AERA, which will go on sale on Saturday, September 18th, will feature Kuwata Keisuke Kuwata, who will be releasing his first new solo EP (mini-album) in four years, "Rice, Miso Soup, Seaweed, Pickles, Tamagoyaki feat. Umeboshi," on September 15th.
This is Kuwata's first appearance on the cover of AERA in four years, since 2017. In the four-page interview, he talks about the behind-the-scenes production and origins of the six songs on the EP, including "SMILE~Harewataru Sora no Youni~," which was chosen as the support song for the joint commercial broadcasting project "Let's Do It Together," which aims to get the whole society excited for the Tokyo Olympics.
This was also the first time that the magazine had a photo session with cover photographer Mika Ninagawa. The photoshoot, in which participants moved their bodies to the background music, was very exciting, and the atmosphere was reflected in the photos. I want to listen while I read. Based on an original analysis of trends and data from this spring's entrance exams, which were held amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and interviews with exam experts, the magazine predicts that "aim for a higher level" and that "qualification, information, and international faculties are the focus."
