【story】
The story begins 18 years ago in Taiwan. Jimmy (Shu Guanghan), a high school student working part-time at a karaoke bar, meets Ami (Kiyohara Kaya), a backpacker from Japan. As he spends time with the innocent girl, Jimmy begins to fall in love with her. However, Ami suddenly decides to return to her home country. Ami proposes a promise to the depressed Jimmy.
Time passes and now it's the present. Jimmy, who has stumbled in life and returned to his hometown, picks up the postcard that Ami once sent him. Memories of his first love come back to him, and he decides to travel to Japan, where Ami was born and raised, to fulfill the promise they made that day. He travels from Tokyo to Kamakura, Nagano, Niigata, and Fukushima, Ami's hometown.
As he rides the slow train and encounters with Ami, Jimmy thinks back to the summer he spent with her. When he arrives at his destination, he learns Ami's true feelings from 18 years ago.
