【story】
Six months have passed since "TOKYO MER" was officially approved. Kitami (Suzuki Ryohei) is worried about the issue of who will be the second doctor to replace Otoha (Kento Kaku), who is leaving the team to expand MER to all designated cities nationwide. Some in the team want Hina (Nakajo Ayami) to be promoted, but Otoha insists that Hina should pursue cardiovascular surgery. Hina is also feeling the pressure and is worried about whether she can replace Otoha. Meanwhile, Aoto (Ito Atsushi) comes to MER as a support doctor. Aoto is a medical technician from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, just like Otoha, and is officially dispatched as a candidate for the second doctor position, but the Ministry has a certain motive behind this...
Just then, a collision occurs between a large water bus and a pleasure boat on the Sumida River. With many injured people on board, the pleasure boat loses control and goes out of control. The MER members rush to the scene, but are unable to board as they cannot dock. Furthermore, they discover that there is a risk of the boat exploding with many patients on board due to a fuel leak inside the boat! Kitami and his team decide to carry out an unexpected operation to rescue the people left behind. It is truly a risky challenge...
