Yutaka Takenouchi vs. Yasuko Matsuyuki
A stylish legal and family drama is born...!
One morning, a man—Kento Sakisaka (Yutaka Takenouchi)—is browsing a stylish select shop. He is a highly skilled partner lawyer at Jinguji Law Firm. He uses his time before work to choose a gift for the president of one of his client companies.
Around that time, a new lawyer, Yusaku Atami (Kento Kaku), joined the Jinguji Law Firm. His boss, Kazuhiko Jinguji (Jun Kunimura), had told him which lawyer would be in charge of training him.
At the Jinguji Law Office, in addition to Sakisaka, there are two partner lawyers, Yoshie Natsume (Yasuko Matsuyuki) and Junichi Nekota (Tetsuta Sugimoto), as well as their respective associate lawyers, Gen Akahoshi (Ikusaburo Yamazaki) and Mari Jonouchi (Azusa Babazono), and paralegal Osamu Tsukumo (Koji Okura). Atami learns the practical aspects of being a lawyer under Sakisaka, but Sakisaka seems somewhat dissatisfied when he comes to work.
Then, Sakisaka receives a request from Yuko Shigekuni, president of a company called Mammy Design, to represent her in a copyright infringement lawsuit. She had been commissioned by Teito Advertising, the largest advertising agency in Japan, to create a character design for a soft drink, but the design was rejected because it didn't fit the sponsor's image. A few months later, she used the design for a character in a local town revitalization event that she had been commissioned to create for a separate project, and now Teito Advertising has sued her for copyright infringement.
Shigekuni claims he was sued for 100 million yen in damages. A formal purchase order had been exchanged between the two companies, and the document contained a clause stating that "the copyright to the character design will be transferred to Teito Advertising"...
