[Synopsis]
Mirai Shiokawa (Mirai Shida) is a woman in her late twenties with no steady job, no savings, and no boyfriend—on the brink of disaster. She pursues her dream of becoming an actress, juggling activities with the theater troupe "Albatross," led by her ex-boyfriend, Masao Yoshizawa (Akihisa Shiono), and working odd jobs every day.
While performing on stage with her fellow theater troupe members, including her junior actor Yano Shin (Katsumi Hyodo), who looks up to her, Mirai receives a rejection notice for an audition, and suddenly wonders if now might be the time to give up on her dream. To shake off those thoughts, Mirai picks up her favorite lemon sour and starts drinking it in the evening... and then!
As Mirai's eyes are blinded by the thunder and intense flashes of light, a small boy appears before her.
The boy, who calls the future "Mom" and introduces himself as Sota (Yu Amano), is the son from the future who has time-traveled from 2036. His goal is to reconcile Mom and Dad, who is called "Maa-kun."
I'm not married and I don't have a boyfriend, so how am I supposed to be a mom?!
Before she could even process what was happening, her life with her son from the future began. And what lay ahead was a fateful reunion with her future classmate and nursery school teacher, Matsuoka Yuta (Kotaki Nozomu)!
Mirai and Sota's search for "Ma-kun" begins now, and their turbulent days are about to start!
