【story】
In 1944, at the end of the Pacific War, Kaede Itakura, the chief nursery teacher at Togoshi Nursery School, was looking for a place to evacuate far from Tokyo in order to protect the children from air raids. Parents, who were initially reluctant to let go of their children, entrust their children to the nursery teachers with the utmost desire to survive the fierce battle every day. However, the destination of Saitama that was finally found was a tattered ruined temple without shutters. Life with young children is full of problems. Even so, the nursery teachers faced the children hard, and Micchan-sensei played the organ to encourage everyone. Dreaming of a day when the war is over and you can spend time with your family ... Despite such a wish, a US military bomber attacked Tokyo on March 10, 1945. Eventually, the shadow of the war was gradually approaching the evacuation destination.
