【story】
Maki Iizuka (29), who works for a publishing company in Tokyo, was preparing for her wedding to Kazunori Nakamura (30), an elite employee of a major construction company. Around that time, her grandmother Akie, with whom she lived, passed away. While sorting through Akie's belongings, Maki found a white wedding kimono and a bundle of marriage registration forms in a paulownia wood box. The husband's section of the marriage registration form was written as "Soichi Akikuni," with the rest left blank. To inter her grandmother's ashes, Maki traveled to her hometown of Izumo. There, she also visited the address on the marriage registration form to inform them of her grandmother's death. However, "Soichi Akikuni" had already moved. With the help of clam fisherman Mitsuru Omori (35), she continued her search for "Soichi Akikuni."
Mitsuru had once been active as a performer of Kagura (traditional Shinto music and dance), but he couldn't hide his anger at the difference between his feelings and those of the people around him regarding Izumo. During her time with Mitsuru in Izumo, Maki felt something changing within her. Mitsuru felt the same way. Around this time, her fiancé, Kazunori, who was in Tokyo, found a letter connecting Maki to "Akikuni Soichi." On the night of the fireworks festival, their respective destinies began to intertwine. Eventually, Maki was married, dressed in a white wedding kimono. And there, she saw...
