NHK Taiga drama "Naotora: The Lady of the Castle" Blu-ray & DVD first collection released!
The time is Sengoku, and the place is Totomi and Iinoya. In a situation where the attack on Imagawa by Shingen Takeda and Ieyasu Tokugawa was unavoidable, the Ii family was in danger of being overthrown by the order of Imagawa. Naotora and Masatsugu try to revive the Ii family by joining hands with Ieyasu behind the scenes. However, the trap for Yasumochi Kondo convicted Masatsugu, and he was sentenced to crucifixion as a lieutenant to Tokugawa.
After overcoming Masatsugu's death, Naotora wonders if he should move toward the revival of the Ii family. However, with the advice of Nankei, he abandoned the revival, searched for the destination of his vassals, and chose to live in the soil as a farmer himself.
Time has passed and Toramatsu (later Naomasa Ii), who has grown dignifiedly, reunites with Naotora. Toramatsu, who served Ieyasu, served in the name of Ii and was in a fierce conflict with Naotora. However, after overcoming the great tragedy that struck Tokugawa, Naotora and Toramatsu's thoughts eventually became one.
The story of Naotora, the lady who survived the Warring States period by opening up her own destiny, is finally complete.
