The first time Yuzuru Hanyu and Mika Ninagawa met was six years ago during a photo shoot for the cover of AERA magazine. Hanyu was 23 years old at the time. Amidst a set of blue roses, Hanyu's expression still retained a hint of innocence as he gazed intently into the lens, searching for something. The issue of "AERA," featuring the "blue roses" born at this time on the cover, was sold out in many stores, creating a huge sensation.
Since 2022, when Hanyu announced his decision to turn professional, the two have held sessions roughly every other year, each time deepening his expression. These shoots have resulted in four photo books: "Hanyu Yuzuru: The Driving Force of Leap Forward" in 2022, "Hanyu Yuzuru: The Driving Force of Solitary Excellence" in 2023, "Hanyu Yuzuru Photo Book Shin" and "Hanyu Yuzuru Photo Book Gi" in 2024.
This time, the photo book "Hanyu Yuzuru Photo Book Tai" will be produced for release in March next year. A culmination of the six-year "Hanyu Yuzuru x Ninagawa Mika" session and a new starting point In addition to carefully selected cuts from four shoots, unpublished cuts are also included. Furthermore, it will be compiled into a large book measuring 297mm x 297mm for the first time. The dynamic composition of the cuts allows you to feel the breath of the photographer during the shoot.
