【story】
Kaoru Utsumi (Kou Shibasaki), a detective from the Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigative Division, visits genius physicist Manabu Yukawa (Fukuyama Masaharu) for advice.
A missing female student was found dead several years later.
According to Utsumi, the suspect is Kanichi Hasunuma (Jun Murakami), a man who was acquitted of the murder of a girl who was once Yukawa's best friend and senior detective Shunpei Kusanagi (Kazuki Kitamura).
Hasunuma remained completely silent this time as well, was released due to lack of evidence, and returned to the town where the female student lived.
