It is said that the amount of scraps generated in the chopsticks production process is 10,000 tons or more per year, and most of them are not effectively used and are incinerated and discarded.
The "K? FUKU" series combines the scraps produced during the production of chopsticks with reusable acrylic resin so that they can be used as chopstick rests. It is an item made with consideration for the environment, hoping that it will be reborn as a "valuable product" by reusing all the scraps.

Maras is the New Guinean name in the Philippines and is called Aranga. The heartwood is brown to reddish brown, and the sapwood is light in color with a clear color difference. Most of the Maras timber imported into Japan is native to New Guinea. The wood is heavy, the grain is not straight, and it is a little mixed. The texture is fine. It has excellent durability and is also used for furniture and building materials.
