Last year, marking the 30th anniversary of his music debut, and with no end in sight to the COVID-19 pandemic, he firmly resolved that "even if all live performances are canceled, I will not stop my creative activities," and released his first original album in 6 years and 8 months, "AKIRA." The album title, "AKIRA," is the name of his father, who passed away when Fukuyama was 17 years old.
Fukuyama's first-ever project, "ALBUM LIVE 'AKIRA'," which aims to express the musical world depicted in the album "AKIRA" as a video work, unlike a regular live performance, as if watching a movie, will finally be released on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, exclusively through the artist's online shop A!SMART in response to overwhelming demand from fans.
I urge you to experience the two hours in which new blood has been poured into the album "AKIRA," which sublimates his own "path of blood" into his work, on Blu-ray and DVD.
The content has been further enhanced from the online streaming version, pursuing higher quality as a video production. New CG effects have been added, and the cuts of the performance scenes have been re-edited. In addition, the entire video has been color-corrected to create a more cinematic experience.
Furthermore, Fukuyama himself re-entered the studio to remix the sound, resulting in an even higher-quality live recording.
In addition to the approximately two-hour main feature with improved video and audio quality, this release includes "Dear" and "Koi no Naka," which were performed exclusively for FAN CLUB members as a special encore block.
Furthermore, the bonus features include behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the film.
