Ukyo becomes an apprentice to a Living National Treasure storyteller!?
An undercover investigation unravels the murder suspicion!
Ukyo (Yutaka Mizutani) and Kaoru (Yasufumi Terawaki) were approaching a famous family of storytellers through their own channels. At the request of journalist Keiko Nonomiya (Naomi Hosokawa), an acquaintance of Miwako (Sawa Suzuki), they had secretly begun a reinvestigation of a case in which the death penalty had been finalized. The case in question involved the murder of Takizawa Seiryu's (Tsurutaro Kataoka) son, Otohiko (Shunsuke Maeda), by his excommunicated former disciple, Tanoi (Takuma Sugawara), at Seiryu's mansion about 15 years ago. Tanoi had been charged with robbery and murder, and the Supreme Court had sentenced him to death five years prior. However, while Tanoi admitted to the theft, he denied committing murder. If he is innocent, then suspicion will fall on Seiryu, who was living in the mansion at the time of the incident, as well as his wife Misako (Satomi Achiwa), his daughter Seiran (Harumi Shuhama), and his apprentice Wu Long (Takaya Aoyagi).
What happened at the mansion of a family of storytellers involved in a robbery and murder case 15 years ago, where wrongful conviction is suspected?
Amidst the complex web of conflicting motives, what shocking truth will emerge...?
