An analog live performance on the second day of MOMOMETAL's Christmas Celebration!
BABYMETAL has toured 25 countries around the world through "BABYMETAL WORLD TOUR 2023 - 2024", performing about 100 shows in total both domestically and overseas, and has embarked on the largest world tour ever, with a total audience of over 280,000 people, excluding festivals and guest act appearances. For their triumphant return to Japan, their first arena performance of the year attracted about 30,000 spectators over the two days. MOMOMETAL's last day as a 20-year-old on Saturday, March 2nd was called "20 NIGHT", and their birthday on Sunday, March 3rd was called "21 NIGHT", and they performed an enthusiastic live show with a different set list for each day, along with an extraordinary and special production.
This 2-DAYS concert will feature a wide variety of songs from the first album "BABYMETAL" to the latest concept album "THE OTHER ONE", with a highly flexible set list. Only five songs were performed on both days, and the 30 songs were recorded in full throughout the two days. At "20 NIGHT" on Saturday, March 2nd, "DA DA DANCE (feat. Tak Matsumoto)", "Shanti Shanti Shanti", and "Kagerou" from the third album "METAL GALAXY" were performed for the first time in a while, and the performance that has evolved through the world tour with songs such as "MAYA" and "BxMxC" and the giant LED visual production embodied the BABYMETAL world. The concert included "Monochrome" and "THE ONE", where the audience was united in a beautiful world of light created by the "Sacred Artifacts" (LED wristbands) distributed to all attendees, and "Metari!! (feat. Tom Morello)", which has become a new standard number for BABYMETAL and has gained popularity in overseas performances. Then, MOMOMETAL, the main star of the concert, descended from the sky to the center stage in a gondola and performed "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!!!", the main vocal at the birth ceremony held on the last night of her 20th birthday, showing off her singing voice that instantly switches between cute and death voices. At "21 NIGHT" on Sunday, March 3rd, "Elevator Girl", "Yaba!", "Starlight", "KARATE", and other songs were performed for the first time in a while. And, MOMOMETAL sang "META! Metataro" with a special performance for that day only, linking the Peach Festival on March 3rd, which is also MOMOMETAL's birthday, and Momotaro. The final song was "Arkadia," a song that moves us toward the vast universe and the future, bringing the two days to a close. This is a permanent edition that includes footage of the live performance that is full of realism and power.
The video products will be released in the form of a limited edition Blu-ray with an analog-sized jacket, a regular edition Blu-ray, a regular edition DVD, and an analog record of the live performance. In order to express the two days of different contents, DAY-1 "20 NIGHT" and DAY-2 "21 NIGHT", the Blu-ray and DVD will be two discs, and the LIVE VINYL will be divided into two titles, containing a total of 30 songs.
In addition, a THE ONE edition will be released as a "THE ONE" limited edition product, which will be packaged in a special box and include a Blu-ray, a LIVE ALBUM CD, and a 64-page live photo book.
