In 2018, Sakurako (Junko Abe), a fledgling TV director, had decided to go to Russia, starting with her coverage of a Russian soldier's cemetery, but she wasn't interested. However, he learns from his grandmother (Yoko Yamamoto) that his roots are in Russia, and as he unravels the diaries of a Russian soldier and a Japanese nurse, he learns a shocking truth... During the Russo-Japanese War, Yui (Junko Abe, double role) is supposed to take care of Sorokin (Rodeon Galyuchenko), a wounded Russian soldier.
Japan complied with the Hague Convention, and Russian prisoners of war were allowed to buy alcohol and go out freely. Yui, who lost her brother in the war, hates Sorokin, but she is attracted to him and falls in love with him. But Sorokin was taken prisoner for a secret mission. In order to participate in the Russian Revolution, Sorokin decides to escape from the camp and return to Russia.
