Komatsu Miwa ・ Born in 1984 in No prefecture. Aspiring to be a painter from an early age.
After graduating from Joshibi University of Art and Design in 2004, he continued to produce as a research student in the print laboratory of the same school, and received numerous awards such as the Joshibi University of Art and Design Excellent Work Award (2005) while still in school.
In 2009, he started working as a professional copperplate painter after making a CD jacket illustration for Yu Aku's tribute album "Bad Friends". Works with a delicate touch on the theme of the view of life and death attract attention.
After that, he started oil painting, and in 2013, dedicated the painting "New Fudoki" to Izumo Taisha Shrine. Currently, he has expanded the range of expressions such as kimono and collaboration with Arita porcelain, and has expanded overseas. In 2015, the Arita porcelain top dog "Guardian Beast of Heaven and Earth" received high praise, and was permanently stored in the British Museum and exhibited in the Japan Pavilion.
