Ryo Yoshizawa
Born in Tokyo in 1994, he made his acting debut in 2009 after winning the Jury Special Award at AMUSE INC. 's nationwide auditions. Since then, he has been active in a wide range of fields, including dramas, films, and stage productions. He won the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 43rd Japan Academy Awards for his role in the film "Kingdom." His major appearances include the NHK morning drama "Natsuzora," the "Gintama" series, "River's Edge," and "Tokyo Revengers" (all films), the Hyakki Opera "Rashomon," the musical "The Producers," and "Mercury Fur" (all stage productions). In 2021, he played the lead role of Shibusawa Eiichi in the NHK Taiga drama "Aoi Ten o Tsuke." He is scheduled to appear in the film "Kingdom 2: To the Faraway Land" (released July 15th).
